Interior Painting Pricing
Painting the interior of your home is an art that demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the expertise of a great team. At Prestigious Painting, we understand that each home has its unique challenges and requirements, which is why we offer tailored pricing to suit every situation.
The cost of interior painting can vary based on numerous factors, reflecting the individuality of your home and the specifics of your project. Common variables that influence pricing include the choice between traditional latex paints or more premium oil-based paints, the application of deep or vibrant colors, and the level of preparation required. Extensive prep work may involve drywall repairs, thorough caulking, and meticulous sanding to ensure a flawless finish.
We provide a detailed pricing guide that helps you compare costs for common rooms and scenarios, offering transparency and insight into what you can expect for your specific painting needs. Whether you're refreshing a single room or transforming your entire house, we are committed to providing high-quality service and clear, upfront pricing to help you make informed decisions about your home improvement projects.
Variables that Affect Interior Painting Project Pricing
- The Height of the Ceilings – there can be a big difference in labor between 8’ ceilings and 12’ ceilings, not to mention more drywall to paint.
- The current colors and the new colors – this can effect how many coats and what type of paint to use at times.
- The Prep involved – is the drywall evenly textured, are there anchor & nail holes to patch? Does the trim need sanding, caulking, or puttying?
- The environment we will be working in – are the rooms empty, or will they have furniture in the middle? What type of floors are there? Will they need special coverings to protect them?
- What kind of doors or trim do you have – are the doors paneled or flat? Do you have single or double layered crown? Will the colors change or stay the same? Are they painting in oil or latex?
These are just a handful of the factors we take into consideration when pricing interior painting for our customers. This is why when customers sometimes ask our “Price per Square foot,” the answer isn’t always that simple. We provide custom painting proposals that fit your home exactly, as opposed to just applying a cookie cutter price and hoping it fits the job.

Exterior Painting Pricing
Painting your home is like buying a car (but hopefully not that expensive!) or buying new furniture. Not only does an awesome paint job say a lot about you, but it’s also a big investment that deserves a lot of consideration. Just like buying a car, you typically get what you pay for—so you want to consider a few factors going into it—like who the manufacturer is (the paint), who made it (the painter), and what condition it is in (the prep).
Every home is different, and can require a different amount of prep or different types of coatings. While several variables are involved, we will try to lay out some examples of homes in the area that you can compare to. All pricing examples are based on powerwashing, extensive prep, & two coats of a high-quality exterior latex paint.
3 of the Major Variables to consider that impact the cost of painting your home:
- The Condition of the home; is there peeling or bubbling paint? Is there chalking on your siding? Perhaps the original caulk hasn’t lasted and the home needs more caulking than average. Every home will have its own requirements at the Prep stage of the job.
- The Height of your home; 2nd story homes or homes with sloping landscaping can be more difficult to access and paint, requiring more labor.
- The different Substrates present on your home; Stucco walls are more costly to paint than siding, as stucco has varying textures and “drinks up” the paint. Are your windows vinyl/metal or wooden? Wooden windows have to be prepped and painted, compared to other types which require very little maintenance. Functional shutters, beadboard ceilings, French doors, etc. can all add to the cost of painting your home.

Cabinet Painting Pricing
Transforming stained cabinets with a fresh coat of paint requires specialized techniques and products to ensure a flawless and durable finish. At Prestigious Painting, we recognize the intricacies involved in painting over stained wood, which is why we offer specific pricing tailored to these unique challenges.
The process of painting stained cabinets is more complex than painting over previously painted or raw wood cabinets. It typically involves additional preparation steps such as thorough cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and priming to ensure the new paint adheres properly and lasts for years to come. These steps are crucial in avoiding peeling and achieving a smooth, professional look.
Our pricing reflects the meticulous attention to detail and the high-quality materials used, ensuring that your cabinets not only look beautiful but also withstand the test of time and daily use. We provide detailed estimates that consider the size of your cabinetry, the extent of prep work required, and your choice of finish and color. Trust Prestigious Painting to rejuvenate your stained cabinets with precision and care, enhancing the overall look and feel of your kitchen or bathroom.
Common variables that can affect the price of your cabinet painting job:
- The wood your cabinets are made of – some woods are more common with stained cabinets, such as oak. Other more exotic woods like cypress may require additional primer coats or more sanding.
- The type of hinges you have – older styles of non-recessed hinges can be more difficult to work with in order to remove cabinet doors, but in some cases we actually paint these hinges. Newer style hinges are commonly recessed and easier to adjust, and allow us to separate the door from the cabinet body without removing the hardware from each. A major factor we consider is ensuring your doors will still fit square and flush if we take them off the hinges.
- Whether or not you choose to have the interior of the cabinet boxes painted can affect price, but not tremendously so. Materials and labor saved by leaving the interiors stained can wash out after masking the interior of the cabinet boxes to protect them.
- The environment the cabinets are in can affect the labor required to properly mask the surfaces surrounding them, as well as labor required to create a “clean-room” effect to prevent aerosolized paint from escaping into other areas of your home.
